Long gone are the days of Video Soul and the green-eyed VJ Donnie Simpson. But for many of us, the memories of our favorite teenage crushes still remain fresh in our minds. Remember running home from the bus stop to watch your favorite videos on BET? Or purchasing the latest edition of Fresh Magazine just to have a poster of your favorite boy band? Everyone has had at least one boy band/group/artist that made them melt; one worth arguing with siblings or cousins about because you were going to be the one to marry them. The teenage crush is serious and in some ways it helped many develop particular tastes in the music selections enjoyed today. In this edition of Clutch Magazine, we pay homage to the men who once held a place in our hearts and on our bedroom walls.

These vids bring back memories. WOW! I remember me and my classmates in a Junior High talent show doing ABC with the jackets and all. Sooo fun…oh my i just told my age. :)
you took it way back, lol! I had a serious crush on Hakeem from The Boys, seriously…
You really took me back! I loved Subway and especially Hi-Five!! Tony Thompson was hot. FYI: The Boys are not called Suns of Light. Times have changed. Check them out at http://www.sunsoflight.com.
Definitely NOT criss cross, but Usher was ahead of his time!
Oh my gosh, the memories are rushing back.. LOL! Nive trip down memory lane. P.S. Look at that young Bobby Valentino in that Mista video. :)
Boyz II Men was the ultimate object of my affection!!! I even made a wedding book for me & Michael McCrary (Bass) in the 10th grade professing our love to the world!!!! I was a bit fast for my age ya’ll…
GOOD LAWD, me and my girls use to make up dance routines to most of these videos (especially The Boys!) We each had our favorite member of the group and would create choreography while lipsyncing to the song! The first time a boy “felt me up” was to Hi-Five’s “Kissing Game” in the backyard of my grandma’s house. Those were the days!
OMG Mista & ABC!! Iesha was my joint cause my name is similar and whenever people first met me they would start singing the song!! LOL I think that the early 90′s is most definately my most missed memory of my life.
Im mad that you guys didn’t add Immature (I was definately ‘Batman’s Wife), Quentin (he was on TUG with Immature), Imajin & David Miller (Im mad he was a one hit wonder) But please believe you all brought it back!!
Whoa, I love this site! You took me back with this post. Although I do remember seeing Hi-Five, Another Bad Creation, Subway, Mista and The Boys videos and loved some of their songs. They were not the ones that were posted over my wall.
I was definitely in love with Tevin Campbell and Immature. Only if my walls could talk, lol.
Yes… Thank you for the time out in time moment. I had serious crushes on at least one person from each of these groups;and most people slept on Subway, I’m glad you remembered them, I loved them. But Boyz II Men had my heart since I was 10 yrs old. None of my friends ever fought with me over Shawn (Slim) (I wonder why…)but I loved that guy! And call me crazy (everyone else did) but I did not break it off with him until I was 20 when he got married…
