Kai Milla

Kai Milla is the namesake women’s contemporary clothing label designed by the wife of music legend Stevie Wonder. Not to be mistaken as just another celeb affiliated clothing line, Kai Milla has all of the elements one would expect from a fashion powerhouse. Kai captures the complexity of the female spirit with designs that manage to be provocative yet tasteful, flirty yet demure, dramatically sensible, and perpetually flattering. Each piece is infused with a soulful elegance that’s fit for any urban goddess.

Launched in 2005, the collection clearly reflects Kai’s background in fine art and design. At a young age, the DC native believed painting to be her calling and fell in love with the design process after sewing her prom dress at 16. After receiving her formal training at Corcoran College of Art and Design, she decided to pursue a career in design.

While we’re still salivating over the effortless ease of the creations presented at the Resort 2007 show, we are equally ecstatic about the Fall 2007 collection that is the personification of high drama. With its minimalist color palette, metallic touches, emphasis on high waist styles and voluminous sweaters and jackets, the collection already has us anticipating a fashionable transition into fall!
