Editor’s Letter: It’s Our Anniversary!
Hi Everyone! This month’s issue marks our one year anniversary since we relaunched as an online magazine. I still can’t believe it has been a year already. Over the last 12 months, the ladies and gentlemen of Clutch have had our ups and downs, but we have continued to come out on top and show growth in every issue.
I want to take the time to thank God, Nikki Duckworth, Nicole Mitsch, David “Mr. Dave” Jaguttis, Summer Hamilton-Smith, Erin Whitlock, Sylvia Arthur, Dale Coachman, Rashana Hooks, Alisha Tillery, RifRaf, Flithy and Kristy, Teneille Craig, Zettler Clay, Yvonne Foxx, Keisha Smith, Mika Pettigrew, Shantel Brown, Tremaine Loadholt, Collier “Nena” Lunn, Nicole Walton, Kayla Calloway, Latoya Peterson, Jennifer Valentine, Mary & Bennie Sutton, James Harris, Kevin Powell, Jason Orr, The Tyson Brothers, Sunseeker Media, Renae Bluitt, Luanna Sutton, Sheena Neal, Lianne Farbes and any and everybody who has ever contributed to Clutch in any way. I especially want to thank the Clutch family for sticking with me and their dedication to make Clutch the best it can be. You guys will never know how much I love you!
So what’s next for us?! Well, this year is going to be full of surprises, so be on the look out for some really big news and the launch of our new sister site, “Brown Fashionista.” I want to say thanks to everyone for supporting Clutch and we promise we are not going anywhere; we will continue to grow and get better each and every month.

Dede, one year ago I was sitting behind a desk, trying to figure how to express myself creatively and do something that at the end of the day was not only rewarding to self, but also rewarding to others. I still don’t know how I came across your website but I had a choice to keep surfing sites or be proactive and do something that could allow me to grow in a different direction.
Clutch was/is the right choice! For several reasons…but mostly because of what it represents and the genuineness from the people who contribute to this magazine. Dede, your dedication is unwavering and I just want to thank you and the entire Clutch team!
