I agree that Ciara did it much better. I think it’s because Ciara’s more of a “round the way” girl than Bey, so this kind of song is waay more believable coming from her.

I’m fans of both singers, however, B’s new album is pure trash. I prefer Ciara’s version of diva, her style fits the track.
I think that Ciara has more of the street cred to pull off the thugness of the song. B however is a Diva so the topic of the song makes more sense. So it’s tie. I agree with Niko, B’s new album is not that impressive. Also, B is no Queen of R&B. She is a pop singer not R&B.

I like Bey and all, but Ciara’s version is much better. Bey sounds funny trying to be hood. Um, you can’t be “hood” then be “uppity”. Choose one.

Umm, sorry, but NO. ‘Diva’ has nothing to do with street cred or anything hood, clearly. As Beyonce said in the song…”She (Ciara) ain’t no diva!” I enjoy Ciara’s dance skills and what not, but this was not what that was and y’all know it. Lil wayne could do a harder remix. That is all.
The Song is Alright, but the Song “Diva” needs to be sung by a True Diva..and that is Beyonce…

I think if Beyonce’s video wouldn’t have been trying to display her as hood (i.e. smoking the cigar at the end & doing that jacked up dance move she did) then her version would have been stronger. She should have been more about the glitz and glam of what she does, and how she is treated as a diva…..so with that crappy video I think Ciara would have pulled this one out betta and it would have been a better hit from her. I speaks the truth!!!!
