Sometimes I felt like I saw myself in her. If one first sees me, you’d think I’m the cheesiest(and I mean in this in a cute way Abiola! lol), happiest girl alive! But deep down sometimes I have my days when I wonder if I’ll ever find someone compatible or better yet, if I’ll find a strong, intelligent, and conscious black man to like me for who I am. Sometimes the bug of insecurity flies in and you think that you’re too big, you’re too this, you’re too that. Obviously, it’s something I have to work on and I definitely saw Abiola do that, she’s such a beautiful woman with grace, ambition and humility and I wish her the best in finding love!

Abiola Abrams was my favorite castmate as Miss Picky on VH1′s Tough Love. I was angry that she didn’t get more screen time but I hope that VH1 gives Abiola more screen time in the future. When I read about all of her on-going struggles to get fit as a celebrity, I am like, join the club! I was following her career from BET J and her online blackplanet show and I always loved her funny over the topness. Glad to see her shining. Thanks Clutch. I never read herbook but my Best Friend likes it so I’ll check it out.

It’s taboo in our community to talk about it. We say we want to see positive black women and then when we do we don’t support them and even though I am biracial and as white girl looking as they come, I appreciated seeing a chocolate beauty on my tv tube. This just became my favorite website. Sistersk let’s support each other.
