“Dawning of a New Day: Perspectives on Black America” is comprised of varied media including audio/ video installations, photography, sculpture, painting, mixed media collage, and graphic art, this exhibition is evocative and thought provoking.

Featured artists include Johnnie “SunMonk” Bess (Washington DC), Jordan A. Colbert (Brooklyn, NY), Michelle Etwaroo (Brooklyn, NY), Tatyana Fazlalizadeh (Philadelphia, PA), Nia Lindsey (Washington, D.C.) and Travis Thompson (Goldsboro, N.C.).

Opening Reception: 12-5 p.m. Free Admission

    The exhibition totally rocked! I thought it was well composed and very thought provoking. If I had a single complaint it would be the venue b/c of its location; it was far off the beaten track and hard to find via subway.
