With Jay-Z turning the big 40, all eyes are on him – even in fashion. To celebrate the maturation of Rocawear, these spring looks offer a different take on the urban brand.
Words of advice that I give to Urban fashion designer: give us something that appeals to a cross spectrum of women, leave off all the adornments, multiple embellishments, make it sophisticated, elegant, chic and we’ll buy it, other than that I know I won’t. The good thing is that their advertisements include an array of cultures and are directed at us but we don’t support them, but support those who don’t even feature us in their advertisements. At the end of the day it’s still all about commerce, but at what costs?
The menswear is alright, definitely wearable. I could do without the clothes they put on the female model, bleh.
ia with AnuliA. i’m more interested in the menswear…that’s not a good thing.
In all fairness, Rocawear has improved in the women’s department. They’ve came a long way from those $100+ sweatsuits.

yuck! I despise urban wear.
I refuse to wear a rapper’s clothing. I’ll stick to classically trained fashion designers, thank you.
I do, however, love the female model. Beyond having the perfect svelte figure, she is absolutely gorgeous! Does anyone know her name?
Wow, they still make Rocawear? I thought they killed that line a few years ago.
