Obama looking for ‘whose ass to kick’
(CNN) — President Barack Obama bluntly defended his administration’s response to the undersea gusher fouling the Gulf of Mexico on Monday, telling an interviewer he has met with experts to learn “whose ass to kick.”
“I was down there a month ago, before most of these talking heads were even paying attention to the Gulf,” Obama told NBC’s “Today” show in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday. “A month ago I was meeting with fishermen down there, standing in the rain talking about what a potential crisis this could be.”
A variety of critics have accused Obama of being too cerebral in his reaction to the undersea gusher now fouling the Gulf of Mexico, of failing to put the full force of the administration and of putting too much trust in oil company BP. Marvin Isley, Bassist in Isley Brothers Passes at 56
Marvin Isley, a bassist who provided the foundation for his family’s hit-making R&B band, the Isley Brothers, died on Sunday at a hospice near his home in Chicago. He was 56. The cause was diabetes, said Chris Jasper, a cousin who was the Isley Brothers’ keyboard player for many years. Charges Considered Against Officer Who Killed Marine
BALTIMORE –The 11 News I-Team has learned that Baltimore city prosecutors are considering criminal charges against a police officer who killed a former Marine outside of a Mount Vernon nightclub early Saturday morning.
