I absolutely love this song! Love Cee-Loo and Gnarls Barkely as well.
It’s like saying ” Fuck You!. with a hint of roses and sprinkles..” lol

Love this joint. I like the bootleg video better though.

LOL @ OMGTre! I love this song.

i LIVE AND DIE for this song, lol. it’s so catchy you find yourself singing along…and then you’re like “wtf am i singing? i don’t have a golddigger ex-girlfriend.”

  6. avatar Akai*. says:

Even though I’ve erroneously been labeled a gold-digger about 3 times before — stick, stones, and I couldn’t have cared less.

The first couple of times I heard this joint I thought it was hilarious and dug the hell out of the beat.

However, after becoming aware of all the lyrics and seeing the video, some things just didn’t sit right with me.

I can’t get down with including young children in the video and another blatant example of teaching boys early on how to talk to little black girls like sh!t and disrespect them (“f*** you too”)!

Finally, I wish the doggone n-word (“just thought you should know n***a) was left out of it as it keeps the same ol’ tired argument going.

I love this so much :)

I take it back, after watching it a couple of times I like this video version better.

  9. avatar Ev`Yan says:

I’m actually a little disappointed by the video. I preferred the typography-style one better.

  10. avatar mina says:

The end of the vid was kinda mean :/

  11. avatar Arhon says:

I would sadly have to consider this song a step backwards for a talented artist such Cee-Lo. Though I do not have a problem with storyline behind the song, seeing a young boy miming these words to a child my daughters age is disturbing.

This song is very catchy. However, It is a little ironic that this songs success could actually be the architect of it’s downfall. We deserve better. Sorry to break up the party my brothers.
