T.I. and Tiny Arrested for Possession
The King of the South, T.I., and his wife, BET reality star Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested late last night on drug charges according to reports.
Police stopped the couple in their Maybach on Sunset Boulevard during a traffic stop and smelled marijuana.
T.I, 29, and the 36 year-old former Xscape singer were booked at the West Hollywood sheriff’s station. Bail was set at $10,000.
T.I. was just released in March after serving a seven-month sentence in an Arkansas prison and three months in a Georgia halfway house on federal weapons charges.

I don’t understand the “We’ve all been there–Don’t judge–I still love him” nonsense. I have never done illegal drugs and would never put myself in a situation where my children might lose their father to prison AGAIN. And I would gather a sizable portion of black folk haven’t either. As a black community, we cannot excuse criminal behavior. This situation is not o.k. We are not talking about 17 year old boys; Tip and Tiny are damn-near middle-aged! And as for loving T.I., I am quite sure he don’t love you back.

If we can STOP people using marijuana then we need to do so NOW, but if we can’t then we need to legalize the production and sale of marijuana to adults with after-tax prices set too low for the cartels to match. One way or the other, we have to force the cartels out of the marijuana market and eliminate their highly lucrative marijuana incomes – no business can withstand the loss of sixty percent of its revenue!
To date, the cartels have amassed more than 100,000 “foot soldiers” and operate in 230 U.S. cities, and Arizona police are now conceding that parts of their state are under cartel control. The longer the cartels are allowed to exploit the prohibition the more powerful they’re going to get and the more our own personal security will be put in jeopardy.

I’m assuming that, being a convicted felon that just served 7 months in prison and 3 months in a halfway house on a federal weapons charge, T.I. was on some type of probation with conditions that forbid the use of illegal drugs and/or alcohol etc.
I’ve absolutely no sympathy for idiots who have kids, money, every opportunity and things going for them who know the deal yet make the choice to f*ck things up.
I do have sympathy for the children who have such ignorant and selfish parents.

Stupid people do stupid things. It’s hard to feel bad for someone so arrogant or foolish to just piss all their blessing away. Smoke the weed, if you must smoke it, at home. Be cautious knowing your situation. I see the CBC the same way. You know you’re visible and vulnerable, act like you have some sense.

He just got out of jail, and he does this foolishness? They both should stay in jail for awhile just for their stupidity.

Isn’t this the same T.I that had the “Road to Redepmtion Show” supposedly showing at risk youth the right way to go? Isnt he the same person who went to schools giving presentations to students about making smart choices? I’m sure he’s the same person that just got out of prison 7 months ago on felony weapons charges. Despite being blessed with talent, money, and every opportunity to do right, it amazes me how celebrities(especially black ones) try so hard to hold on to that hood mentality and make stupid choices. Too often we here of athletes and rappers ruining their careers over our favorite things, guns and drugs. I am sooooo over T.I. and Tiny. I mean come on how many times are
they going to screw up, apologize and then screw up again. Here is a man who
did a whole show based on righting his wrongs before going to jail.
He does the time and gets out early and now this? He is on probation.
It was a bonehead move to bust an illegal turn in the first place.
It’s especially dumb when you or your wife have been getting high.
As for Tiny, she is not that smart either. She has kids. Part of
being a mother is never endangering you or your kids’s lives. That
should always be first on her mind. I get the ride or die mentality
but it is more hype than anything else.
Just like the comment from reader Tina said “sometimes you gotta call
a spade a spade”. She is a puppet for the money, when she should be
whispering in her man’s ear to tone it down. At least encourage him
to keep these drugs and other illegal activities at a distance until
after he is off of probation. If he returns to jail for a harder
sentence I wouldn’t be surprised. They both brought this hell storm
upon themselves. Life doesn’t offer many second chances so the pure
arrogance of the both of them to simply blow this off rather than see
it as a blessing is dumb. They deserve whatever punishment they get.

My wife and I had a heated discussion on this matter. I said he or she is just plain stupid, and I am sticking to my guns. If you are a black man who is fortunate enough to make it in America and enjoy this so called American dream that so many of all races don’t enjoy, and you have just been released from prision after a 7 month stint. Well in my opinion you are just plain stupid.Now on the other hand, my loving wife seems to think this multi millionaire rapper turned actor just didn’t get enough love during his chlidhood.That he is a smart man due to the fact he is a millionaire. To that I say bullshit! This same senario has just played out earlier this month when DMX was released from prison and was rearested shortly after his release for driving without a license. What is it with these people? What do they not understand? Don’t they know that the only really good thing about being a famous millionaire black man is being a FREE millionaire black man. Apparently they are not aware that there are people watching them that really would like to see them and every other successful black man or woman fail. Not to mention there are children who idolize them. Maybe I just expect too much from these quote unquote millionaire smart people.

I agree with all of the above. The problem is that these two like most rich people, are spoiled and doted upon and therefore, refuse to grow up. This was childish. And this was done because they think being celebrities nobody can stop them. Well, we’ll just have to see what new issue comes up.
