A Few Reasons Kanye Canceled Oprah Via Email

The Web is buzzing with news that outspoken rapper/producer Kanye West canceled his scheduled appearance on the most popular daytime show in America, “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

But wait, it gets more interesting. . . . Reports say that Kanye canceled via email. Say what?!

A source close to Oprah tells In Touch Weekly that Oprah is far from pleased. Especially considering that this is the last season of 24-year-old show.

The source says, “All the arrangements had been made. She [Oprah] was going to ask Kanye everything. Oprah is not happy.”

No representative from Kanye West’s camp has made a statement about the alleged cancellation. This would have been Kanye’s second appearance on Oprah. The rapper sat with Oprah for the first time in 2005.

The real question is why would media-hungry Kanye cancel Oprah? Another chance to sit on TV’s coveted couch? We’re thinking something has to be up.

Just for kicks, here’s our set of guesses:

1. Fear of Getting Emotional
Could it be Kanye isn’t ready to talk openly about his mother’s passing and his outrageous post-antics (e.g., Taylor Swift)? You know Oprah will take her guests to their darkest places. Who hasn’t cried on Oprah?

2. He Gotta Big Egooooo
This is an extension of Kanye’s big ego—proving that even Oprah can’t make him bend. Bet he wouldn’t cancel on his big brother Jay-Z.

3. He Just Couldn’t Talk
Maybe Kanye was getting his throat encrusted with pink and yellow diamonds and at that time, he just couldn’t talk.

4. Oprah Wouldn’t Give Kanye His Own Show
Reports confirmed that Oprah is giving Rosie O’Donnell her own show on Oprah’s new OWN network. Maybe Kanye West asked Oprah for his own show too, and Oprah said, “Hell naw Yezzy!”

Or better yet, maybe it’s all false! Perhaps this is yet another rumor from the Hollywood bin.

Kanye recently appeared at the Grazia Masquerade Ball in Paris with his date, supermodel Selita Ebanks.

The controversial performer also revealed the title of his sixth studio album. Kanye’s calling it “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”
