Gabby Sidibe Stars Opposite Eddie Murphy in New Comedy
Our favorite cover girl and Oscar nominee, Gabby Sidibe, has been added to the cast of a new action comedy, “Tower Heist!” Sidibe joins a stellar cast of seasoned comedians that includes Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller.
According to Deadline, Sidibe and Michael Pena portray workers in a luxury high-rise who later discover that their pension funds have been emptied out by a white collar crook (played by Alda) a la Bernie Madoff.
This is Sidibe’s first major film role since starring in the Oscar-nominated movie, “Precious,” directed by Lee Daniel and co-starring Monique. Sidibe was recently featured in the “The Big C” cast.
According to Black Voices, Sidibe shot the indie film, “Yelling to the Sky,” which co-stars rocker girl, Zoë Kravitz.
“Tower Heist” begins filming in New York next month. The film has a November 4, 2011 release date.

I think she’s a sweet girl and a great actress, having met her personally, I think she ill do just fine because she’s a natural, no training or pretending just raw attitude and passion.

It’s an awesome match! Gabby has a wicked funny bone and she will do just fine. I am amazed you did not mention that she is currently in the Big C and the thing is so good it has been picked up for a second season. I can safely say I cannot wait to watch this one.
