Nicki Minaj causes a storm in her latest feature for YRB Magazine. In the mini-spread, she gives us four fresh looks that are less costume and more high fashion. She even trades in her signature multi-colored wigs and bright eyeshadow for much softer hair and makeup choices.
In the interview, Nicki keeps it real on topics such as her initial fear in dropping an album, holding her own on a track with hip-hop greats Kanye and Jay-Z, and even dealing with negativity from fellow female emcees. She says:
“These girls aren’t mad at me. They’re mad at themselves. . . . [It’s] jealousy, insecurity and being broke. When you haven’t capitalized and you see I’m about to capitalize on this shit like it’s never been done before, then you’re mad at yourself.” Well, hello?! We can only imagine who she’s referring to (lol) . . .
