Yesterday, Prince surprised the ladies of ABC’s ‘The View’ and showered them with one of the hottest tickets in town, his own. His Purple Highness stopped by during hot topics to promote his “Welcome 2 America” concert series and gifted each of the ladies with tickets to his December 18 show at Madison Square Garden.
Prince first announced his “Welcome 2 America” concert series at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY back in October. The Purple One boasted that the show—which features an eclectic group of artists such as Janelle Monae, Mint Condition, Esperanza Spalding, and Cassandra Wilson—would be a once-in-a-lifetime event. At the press conference Prince told fans, “Bring your friends, bring your children, and bring foot spray, because it’s going to be funky.”
Although we love Prince, no one’s reaction even came close to Sherri Shepherd’s. As soon as he hit the stage, Sherri transformed into a star struck teenaged girl—stammering over her words, asking that he profess his love for her, and attempting to take his gloves as a souvenir. However, when she told the artist, “I’ve wanted to make love to you for my whole life,” Prince quickly (and nervously) exited stage left.
Was it something she said?
