After the egg/womb shenanigans at the Grammy Awards last weekend, it’s understandable to be more than a little Gaga-inundated. That said- give this girl right here a chance.

10-year-old Maria Aragon of Toronto, Canada posted video of her covering Wednesday morning and already, it has gotten one million hits.  As little Maria croon out Lady Gaga’s new single, “Born This Way,” its easy to see why.  Not only is she adorable, her harping on her keyboard keys and chanting “Don’t be a drag, just be a queen” is priceless.

While it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all of Gaga’s theatrics, this stripped down cover from a girl barely old enough to have live through all the lyrics show the heart of the music. For the view times I’ve heard “Born This Way,” Maria’s version may very well be the one I like best.

She may be channelling Madonna’s “Express Yourself,” but seems Lady Gaga’s music is connecting- and that’s universal, no?

i heart Gaga’s music… apparently the running theme of ‘born this way’ is going to be self-acceptance, and empowerment, and her lyrics send really positive powerful messages. so im onboard

Love this song! Even with all of her avant garde shenangian, I love me some Gaga. Her message is so necessary and the attention she brings to herself is purposeful in this way.

I love this version. Gaga is crazy/beautiful. I was surprised at the Madonna sound alike, but I think the generation of 2011 need a positive reaffirmation anthem. Gwan Gaga!

I love this, be the facts in this article are incorrect, this little girl is actually from Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada, not Toronto. :)

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…..I’m not so convinced about the message behind Lady GaGa’s persona.

I found myself in a Twitter brawl just a few days ago because I petitioned the public to boycott Rihanna’s video, We Found Love and Big Sean and Nicki Minaj’s Dance (A$$)…

Here’s the backlash I received from it:
