After years of ‘Making The Band,’ tonight, singer Aubrey O’Day will take to the stage alone.

The former Danity Kane member is bringing her own brand of reality drama to Oxygen Network tonight. Her new show “All About Aubrey” will chronicle her journey as she attempt to get back into the spotlight.

Aubrey’s departure from the music world was seen first on MTV’s Making The Band, where on the last season, mogul Diddy gave her and several other members of Danity Kane the boot. The girl group had seen the debut of a successful album, several catchy singles, but before the ride felt like it had started, things quickly came to an end.

Being fired on national television was a tough moment for Aubrey who told the New York Post she was “miserable” after the very public split. Aubrey was no stranger to the blogs and tabloids and has been often been portrayed as a wild party girl. The image is far from the truth, says Aubrey:

“More than 85% of the things I read about me are not true…this idea that I’m a nonsensical, crazy party girl that’s just wasting everybody’s time is not true.”

When “All About Aubrey” debuts tonight at 10PM, the singer says audiences will see the real her. From the previews, the real Aubrey struggles with her weight, being trashed in the press and kept in touch with old MTV pal Johnny Wright. The show is more than just a documentary- it is also part of the flickering pop-stars attempt to revitalize her career. Whether or not she does so will be as much about the music as who tunes in to watch her make it.

That picture does soooooo much to help her case. *yawn* Lame~! I’m still convinced everything Diddy touches turns to a pile of dung after three years.

no thank you. after bad girls club, channel will be changed.

  • I may watch. I always liked Aubrey, say what you will but she can sing and dance, she’s very entertaining and she is really nice. We aren’t friends but I have met her before. I have no reason to hate on her and her career. Wishing her all the best.
