• Here’s a tip: take your phone number OFF of Facebook. Although the site is great for connecting with old (and new) friends, the social media giant is taking steps to sell your address and phone number to third party advertisers. In a letter to Congress, Facebook told politicians of their plans, although they claim they “have not decided when or in what manner” they will begin sharing your information. So it looks like you still have time to take your number off of your profile. I mean, unless you like telemarketers using up your anytime minutes. [Village Voice]
  • Reading, Writing, and Fighting? A group of middle school students in Tacoma, Washington were kicked out of school for starting an after-school fight club (football isn’t tough enough?). Apparently, these kids never saw the film because the number one rule of fight club is to never discuss it. However, after one of the boys showed his aunt a cell phone video of the fights, his parents turned it over to school officials who promptly kicked the kids out of school. Smart. [Jezebel]
  • Fetuses can talk? Well, in a bizarre attempt to bolster a law that would outlaw abortions after the first heartbeat can be medically detected, an anti-abortion group has called a 9-week-old fetus to testify before the Ohio House of Representatives. Janet Porter, president of the group Faith2Action, hopes that once legislators see and hear the beating heart of a fetus, they will be more inclined to pass the law. Although the bill is unlikely to pass in Ohio, that hasn’t kept Faith2Action from trying. What’s the saying? If at first you don’t succeed, try every stunt in the book to get some attention? Sounds about right. [The Huffington Post]
  • Beyonce gets sexy…because it’s Wednesday! Well, not quite. Queen Bey is on the April 2011 cover of Cosmo UK, and shares some of her secrets for keeping it hot in the bedroom. In case you were wondering how you can keep your love like as spicy as hers and Jigga’s, Beyonce advises: “Put on good music and something that makes you feel great.” Wow, revolutionary!  Ok, maybe not. But Bey did have this wise tidbit: “You can be beautiful but if you’re not secure in yourself, you don’t come across as sexy.”  Very true, B, very true. [The YBF]
