The price to wind and dine with the President of the United States? Start beefing up your savings account now.

According to Radar Online, the cost for a seat at one of President Obama’s Hollywood fundraisers is $35,000. Though the price tag seems hefty, it wasn’t a deterrent to the town’s A-listers who didn’t mind dropping some change last Thursday night to dine with President Obama.

Among those in attendance were George Clooney, Will Ferrell, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and Jamie Foxx.

Foxx, who poked fun at the Commander-in-Chief’s dancing skills at the Motown tribute night, came out to show his loyalty to Obama’s campaign. Sources told Page Six, that the actor was the life of the party at the fundraiser held at Tavern in Brentwood, California–sharing handshakes, hugs and even some tame lapdances. The Rio star is said to have picked up a $1,000 tab for drinks and sushi for his guests.

While President Obama was criticized by some on the right for having too much of a celebrity tone to his 2008 campaign, the stars seem to embrace him with open arms.  In fact, in his speech on Thursday, the President recounted how he even gets compared to a member of the group.

Joking with George Clooney, President Obama said:

“There have been times, I’m sure, during the past two and half years where you read in the papers or you’re watching on TV and you’re saying ‘Ah, Obama, why did you compromise with the Republicans? Or ‘Why did health care take so long? I want a single-payer plan anyway. Golly if he was just as good a communicator as George Clooney I’m sure the American people would understand exactly what needs to be done.’”

As Hollywood continues to throw it’s money at the clear front runner for the presidency, some wonder if their star-studded nights will eventually cause a backlash. No one can forget the Boondocks’ “D*ck Riding Obama” spoof that poked fun at Will.I.Am and others for their crus- like support of President Obama. While it was a joke, what’s not funny is that most American’s couldn’t afford a ticket to one of these fundraisers. But while it my seem like frivolous spending to some, that kind of financial support will be incredibly helpful as President Obama works to out fundraise his opponents heading into this camapaign.

Honestly, it’s not about the who’s who, it’s about what the people want! Voters are now more than ever increasingly enlighted about political and socio-economic issues. Gone are the days where being endorsed by a certain somebody meant something. People’s concerns rest upon the current issues plaguing the country Increasing unemployment being at the top of the list. I could give a damn about President Obama being endorsed by Jamie Foxx or George Clooney. My inquiry will be, after all is said and done, “will he deliver?”.

Out of curiosity who is funding Trump and his hair?!
