With only a month left until the calendar officially marks the first day of summer, it’s time to shop for that brand new swimsuit. If you’re anything like me, you may already have the color and style decided but need help picking the right suit to enhance your best features and hide your problem areas.

Become a beach bombshell with these tips on how to stylishly wear swimsuits that flatter every body type:

If you want to boost a small bust…

-Don’t rule out an underwire. It gives shape to small busts.
-Spring for extras like ruffles, beading or pleating. They add bulk and visual interest.
-Don’t do bandeau, it will appear to flatten your chest even more.

If you’re boy-shaped all over…

-Do go for a 50s style high-cut bottom that will give you a shape.
-Try suits with vertical stripes that give the illusion of curves.
-The “booty” is in the details: fringe and ruffles will add volume to a small frame.

If you want belly control…

-Try a wrap style if you have a thick middle; it instantly creates a waist!
-Don’t hide under a sarong or be afraid to show some skin. A high-cut leg or low-cut top draws eyes away from your middle.
-Look for suits with built-in support like Spanx and Miraclesuit that create a smooth finish.

If you want to slim the hips…

-Don’t go a print-crazy on the bottom and avoid suits with ruffles or details on the skirt.
