Only this afternoon, we identified Joan Smalls as one of the go-to models for luxury advertisements and runway shows and now, the Puerto-Rican beauty can count David Yurman as her newest campaign.

Smalls, who has also appeared in Estee Lauder, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli and Gucci, will be featured alongside Arizona Muse and male model, Jon Kortajarena in David Yurman’s Fall ad campaign. Previous campaigns have featured Dominican model, Arlenis Sosa.

Shot in New York City, the ad juxtaposes gritty city staples like fish markets with the luxurious allure of David Yurman jewels and high-fashion gowns. No matter the setting, the campaign promises to be legendary as Peter Lindbergh’s projects usually are and for that, Smalls is thrilled to participate: “It’s a girl’s dream to be part of David Yurman,” Smalls told Modelinia. “The pictures are so iconic, every time you see them, they’re historic. It’s with Peter Lindbergh so of course you know you’re going to have an amazing black and white picture. I’m excited to be part of it.”

What do you think of Joan Smalls as the new face of David Yurman?

I think she would be great. I’m not really a fan of David Yurman but I know when I worked @ Nordstrom people would damn near loose their paychecks trying to buy his latest campaign.

Despite the obesity problem among black women, I’m glad we can still be represented in luxury brands.

Good for Joan, I know that she will do a great campaign as she did the others.
