In the chaos of our everyday lives, we often forget to give back whether it be through donating, volunteering, mentoring and the like. With the many natural disasters that have occurred this year, organizations like the Red Cross have made it easy by allowing us to donate through text, but we are often clueless as to exactly where our money goes and of its direct impact.

CharityBuzz is a company started in 2004, aiming to lead nonprofits to participate in a more cutting-edge, collaborative kind of fundraising. CEO Coppy Holzman wanted to combine pop culture and technology for a good cause and CharityBuzz does just that, with auctions spanning the categories of celebrity, entertainment, music, fashion and so much more. The whole process of bidding on something you want makes donating fun and rewarding and you get to see the direct impact of where your money goes, thus making it even more of a worthwhile experience that you will be sure to repeat as often as you can.

Some of our favorite musicians, actresses and designers currently have auctions going toward some great causes. Mary J. Blige is donating the Gucci outfit (seen above) which she wore to her own MJB Honors Women Concert, benefiting Help USA. A one-of-a-kind Louise Green hat is being auctioned by Paula Patton as she will be wearing it to tomorrow’s Kentucky Derby and the proceeds will go to The Barnstable-Brown Foundation. Other great auctions include: a tour of Naeem Khan’s studio and two tickets to his Spring 2012 show for the Children’s Dream Foundation, a grey leather D-bag from Tod’s benefiting Reach Out and Read of Greater New York, a private shopping party for you and 10 friends at J.Crew for The Brick Church School, an internship with world-renowned stylist Patricia Fields benefiting the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights and so much more.

Will you be bidding on any of CharityBuzz’s auctions? How do you plan on giving back this Spring?
