For months, buzz has been building about NBC’s upcoming series, “The Playboy Club.” The television drama centers around the famed entertainment club. Set in the 1960’s, the series evokes the feel of “Mad Men” and is sure to reflect the culture clashes of that era.

The sitcom features Eddie Cibrian as well as Naturi Naughton, with the former 3LW singer and Notorious actress resuming the role she had on “Mad Men” as a bunny at the club. Naturi’s character Brenda is on a quest to become the first African-American Playboy centerfold.

Producers say the show will take a closer look at “America’s mores and the coming sexual revolution.” The show will be part of NBC’s new Fall line up, with the network announcing the cancellation of “Outsourced”, “Law and Order: LA”, “The Event” and “The Chase.”

Back in the day, my mom went to the Playboy Club with a date of hers. She recalled it a sexy, yet sophisticated spot – at least on the nights she went.
