Sade has been creating iconic music that we have all enjoyed for almost three decades now. She has one of the most well-known voices in music, but she is also known for her effortless beauty that has grown better with time, much like her songs.

Sade was born in Nigeria. Like many in the entertainment industry, she took on a stage name coming from her middle name Folasade, meaning “honor confers your crown”. Her father was a Nigerian lecturer and her mother an English nurse. At four years old after trouble in her parents’ marriage, Sade moved to England with her mother and brother. An interesting fact to note is that Sade studied at Central Saint Martins, which is one of the most well-renowned fashion and design schools in the world.

Sade’s start in music began in college while she was singing lead vocals for the band, Pride. “Smooth Operator” is one of her most popular songs to date and it was the tune that got her noticed by Epic Records, thus leading to a record deal. Some of her other well-known songs are “No Ordinary Love”, “Kiss of Life”, “Love Is Stronger Than Pride”, “Soldier of Love” and countless others.

Sade’s beauty has stood the test of time and she looks even more beautiful now after three decades in the music industry. Her long brown hair, strong eyebrows, freckled skin and impeccable physique are a part of her image and are just as recognizable as her songs on the radio. She often goes for a fiery red lip, echoing the passion of her music. Sade holds the title of being the most successful solo female artist in British history, but we also think of her as one of our most beautiful.

What do you think of Sade’s look and career? What is your favorite song from her?

  4. Beautiful! I will be seeing her in Dallas next month and I can’t wait! It is seriously a mark off of my bucket list (and I’m only 25 lol). I am a big fan of her music, and to be honest I can’t pick a fav song.
