Beyoncé’s fashion spread for L’Uomo Vogue’s July/August 2011 issue has been released as well as promotional images for her upcoming album 4. Though both are equally sexy, the former has her in menswear inspired looks for the men’s fashion magazine and the latter, completely dolled up in cutting egde, risqué designs.
For L’Uomo, Beyoncé channels Broadway with looks from Corneliani, Tom Ford, Dior Homme and Acne, blending masculinity and femininity seamlessly. Her 4 promotional images are in another vein entirely: showing skin galore with bra tops, bodysuits, dresses with cut-out detailing and sheer fabrics. Her makeup is dramatic and so are her poses, giving us all a taste of what the album will have in store for us.
Queen B. is definitely showing us that a woman can be fabulous whether in menswear-inspired pieces or those that are ultra-feminine. It is all about fit and confidence and we know that she has loads of it.
