Taking a cue from his wife, Beyonce, Jay-Z has roped in Frank Ocean to work on his upcoming solo project. The Odd Future crooner behind ‘4’’s “I Miss You” was in the studio last week working with Jay on new material that will be a part of the rapper’s next album alone. In a photo (above) taken by Odd Future’s manager, Kelly Clancy, the two are seen in the zone, hard at work.
While there is no date set for the project yet, Jay says he is already a few songs into the forthcoming album. Currently, Jay is working on promoting his “Watch The Throne” collaboration album with Kanye West. The tracklisting and album cover for that project was released last week, getting already excited fans in a frenzy with anticipation.
Ocean, who has gained a following of his own through his appearances on Odd Future tracks and with his mixtape, “Nostalgia, Ultra,” which he is revamping for commercial release. This year has been a busy one for the singer-songwriter who is working on projects with everyone from Nas to Pharrell.
