It may come as no surprise that Katt Williams has issued an apology behind some hostile words directed at a Mexican audience member in Phoenix over the weekend. As you may recall, Clutch reported that the pint-sized comic didn’t take the heckling of a Latino audience member too well, saying things like, “you think I’m dissing Mexico and I’m defending America. Are you Mexican? Do you know where Mexico is?” and “No this ain’t Mexico, it used to be Mexico, motherf*cker, and now it’s Phoenix, goddammit. USA! USA!”

In an effort to make amends, Williams has made the following official statement: “My remarks were not meant to be offensive. I want to apologize if my comedy act was taken out of context.” He continues to say, “I sincerely appreciate my fans within the Mexican community and would never intentionally go out of my way to offend them.”

Reminiscent of the Tracy Morgan gay tirade fiasco, it looks like Williams took all the proper post-rant precautions, but only time will tell if it’s enough to save a declining career.

oh blah. this was funny. tracy morgan and that homo “i’d kill my son” s#!t was not funny. Kramer and his “lynch” jokes def NOT funny, but here Katt made some valid points. VERY VALID. Most Africans I know do not identify with African Americans, so what can Blacks go back to? (as suggested by the klan and other orgs) The slavery comment he made, on point! So was a lot of other things he said.

How you gonna go to a comedy show and heckle a comedian? They tell jokes for a living! Don’t be mad if you become the butt of one because you put your hand up.

When I get on the train, I don’t question the motorman while he’s doing what he does.

    I mean really.

Katt said a lot of true things and that’s what got mida’s blood boiling. It wasn’t till the end when katt started to insult the guy… calling him a b!tc# and all that…

I laughed. And I didn’t feel bad about it.

I’M MEXICAN! And I’m down with Kat Williams. He is a funny [email protected] Foo, I am tired of comedians having to apologize for ish they say, or anyone for that matter. We are blessed fo live in a country with freedom of speech. Yet we constantly are trying to censor everything now.. this is America! Let freedom Ring!
