It’s refreshing to see a bona fide talent get some shine, especially in a less-restrictive cable network venue, which is why Don Cheadle’s upcoming Showtime comedy House of Lies may seriously be worth a view.

The series based on Martin Kihn’s book “House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time,” will debut on January 8th. Headlining the ensemble cast, Cheadle portrays a successful, self-loathing, consultant from a top-tier firm named Marty, who will use any means and anyone necessary to get his clients the information they want.

Putting the “con” in consulting pretty much sums things up in Showtime’s teaser for the new series featuring Cheadle as the sleazy cocksure executive who knows what it takes to make ish happen:
