Guess whose days of doo wop pop popping are over for good? After proving herself to be the breakout star of WEtv’s hit series Braxton Family Values, the network has just officially announced plans to give Tamar Braxton what she always wanted…her own show! Scheduled to hit small screens everywhere in 2012, Tamar & Vince will showcase Tamar and husband Vincent Herbert as they navigate their hectic lives, from Tamar’s solo album to Vince’s busy career as a successful music producer. We all saw Tamar’s star quality right away and looks like WEtv executives like President and GM Kim Martin felt the same way:

“Tamar & Vince is a great addition to WE tv’s schedule, especially as we expand into a third night of original programming catering to the underserved audience of African-American women that love Braxton Family Values. Tamar is a huge part of what’s made that show such a success; she is completely over the top and our viewers just love her!”

Tamar also released a statement letting the world know how excited she is to finally have her long overdue moment:

“We are so very excited for this amazing opportunity. With our family series, Braxton Family Values, we aim to show audiences the true meaning of family and sisterhood, and with our new show, marriage. Our journey as two driven individuals that love as hard as we work is one we think audiences will relate to.”

Production of the eight, one-hour long episodes begins in March and in addition to seeing Vince and Tamar deal with busy careers, viewers will also get an inside look at their complicated yet devoted relationship, including how their upscale lifestyle must adjust as Vince recovers from his recent life-threatening health scare.

Definitely can’t wait for this show to air, we all know Tamar is thebomb.org!

Nah, think I’ll take a pass on this one. Tamar is a bit too much in the drama department. Nice to see that an insecure, fast-talking loudmouth can get her own show. Get it any way you can, Tamar. She does have a following but this sistah ain’t in line.
