Police Say Rapper Slim Dunkin Lost His Life Over a Piece of Candy
The Atlanta police may have a lead as hey pursue the individual who shot and killed rapper Slim Dunkin. Come to find out the young rapper born Mario Hamilton may have been gunned down behind a piece of candy. As MTV News reports, a local ATL news show claimed that Dunkin was shot when a fight over a stolen piece of candy got out of hand. “The information we’re getting, it’s unconfirmed, but witnesses are saying this whole thing started over a piece of candy,” homicide detective David Quinn said.
Witnesses have said that the departed rapper yanked a piece of candy from another man while in the recording studio, prompting a verbal argument that progressed into a fistfight, then a shot to the chest. The entire altercation occurred in front of 13-20 bystanders.
Hamilton, a.k.a., Dunk, was on the come-up as part of Waka Flocka Flame‘s Brick Squad Monopoly crew. The day after his murder, Waka Tweeted: “WISH IT WAS ME … MY F—ING RIGHT HAND IS GONE…. damn I feel dead…IM LOST.” Sources say a public viewing for the late rapper will be held at Atlanta’s Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home this evening. ATL Police encourage anyone with information about this tragic shooting call 404-577-TIPS.

Ok… I’m not willing to believe that this is over candy. Honestly, there was probably beef between the two for who knows how long and the “candy stealing” was the straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back, if you will. Just a matter of time before one got too close in the others space and sad to say this is what the result was. It better be something along what I just said ’cause killing over candy…? SMH!
Why is it not so hard to believe. Black men kill each other every day over the dumbest things; add this one to the list. Either way, there is no excuse. Black men have becomes cowards who hide behind violence because the lack the skills and requirements of what it takes to be a real man. Real men don’t kill and hurt their people because they are too busy being productive citizens.

Errr, why would the police need tips? they were able to determine that this was “over a piece of candy” but not who did the shooting? Not one damn person that was in the studio is willing to step up? This no snitching shit is still ridiculous.

It was not just about candy, it was about blatant disrespect and immaturity!! The other guy didn’t want to seem like he got punked, especially with all the onlookers gassing him up I imagine. He probably thought that everyone would have called him a punk or b*tch if he had did the right thing and walked away. Which would cause other n*ggas to try him and room over him. A lot of men are very childish, they’re like over sized 5 years, they will not to stop playing or harassing people, this especially seems to be the case with Slim Dunkin.
