T.J. Holmes Headed to BET?
According to MediaBistro.com, CNN weekend anchor T.J. Holmes could be headed to BET once his contract is up later this year.
They report:
A source at BET tells TVNewser that they have “had conversations” with Holmes, but could not confirm whether he would be joining the African America-focused channel.
Prince says BET “plans to build a show” around Holmes.
For the last few years BET has been trying to reform its image as a video music destination. It’s added scripted shows like “The Game,” “Reed Between the Lines,” and “Let’s Stay Together,” and it plans to air a political documentary later this week examining Herman Cain’s now defunct campaign.
With the 2012 elections quickly approaching, BET could be looking to relaunch its news division by hiring T.J. Holmes.
What do you think of T.J. Holmes possibly moving to BET?
Don’t do it T.J, please! But he should have an agent looking for perhaps another cable channel, or even CBS 60 minutes could do well with him.
I enjoyed T.J. Holmes on CNN. He will be a great addition to BET. Break a leg T,J.
