“The Creator has not given you a longing to do that which you have no ability to do.” – Orison Swett Marden

For the longest time I’ve wanted to travel the world. When I was nine or 10 I got obsessed with going to Cuba and Paris and would check out guidebooks from the library. My 10-year-old self just knew I’d make it one day. But then I got older, and those dreams remained just dreams as I busied myself with school, work, and “the real world.” But yesterday, as I wandered through the streets of Paris I was reminded that whatever I’ve ever dreamed, I can have. And so can you. Once we stop limiting ourselves by what we THINK is possible, and just realize that God, the Creator, or the Universe (your choice) has not only given us these dreams but the ability to make them happen, things become amazingly freeing and clear.

So…what do you dream about, Clutchettes? Time to go out and get it!

So true. Paris has been my dream since I was seven years old, now 22 years later, I will officially be living in Paris for one year starting in January of 2012, and I could not be more excited. Some people ask me how does it feel to get to live in Paris for a year which I’m certain will be a challenging and fantastic experience. But, the greater joy in this for me is the fulfillment of a dream that has lived inside of me for so many years, and the confirmation to myself that I can and will fulfill the many other dreams that I have.

My dream is to write books and create educational programs for young children. Sometimes fear and doubt set in and causes stagnation and laziness, but that quote is AWESOME!!! I must remember that. Congrats on realizing your dream Ms. Britni.
