It seems like President Obama was feeling a little soulful during a at fundraiser at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York Thursday night.
As he addressed the crowd, Mr. Obama mentioned that soul legend Al Green was in the building and proceeded to sing a few lines from Green’s hit, “Let’s Stay Together.”
The fundraiser, which featured Rev. Al Green and India.Arie, was just one of many events the President attended on Thursday. Mr. Obama has officially kicked off his reelection campaign, and according to Politico, the President raised approximately $3.1 million from last night’s fundraisers alone.
With a night like that, the President has a reason to sing.
Although we’ve just kicked off the 2012 election season, pundits say it will be one of the most expensive elections in history, and the President and his GOP challengers are doing everything possible to ensure they have enough money for the long battle ahead.
What do you think of President Obama’s singing ability?
He just gets sexier and sexier in my opinion. (politics aside)
I think it is amazing to have such a down to earth president. He seem so calm, cool, and collected!
Lol, from that little bit he sounded just like Al.
Who knew???? Obama has a pretty decent singing voice. I can hear the right wingers saying “while the president was serenading the negroes, the rest of us are worrying about jobs”
Hahaha!!
Right! I was thinking the same thing…
All this pomp and circumstance is bullsh!t!
This dude just signed the NDAA
Sheep
I am so mad at myself for not buying a ticket.
This had me swooning! so mad I wasn’t there
alright now.. lol
I’ll always love Obama.
That is all.
I agree that we are sheep,iQGraphics, but I still love this clip! Obama, as a man, seems really cool. But his international policies suck, unfortunately.
Wow… people are swayed by the tiniest things…
What a Prez! He definitely has the ability to connect, and that means a lot to people…
