With all the buzz surrounding baby Blue Ivy, not much mention has been made about 1st quarter layoff’s at Jay Z’s Rocawear Clothing company. Just months after co-opting the Occupy Wall Street name and adopting it as Occupy All Streets on t-shirts, the layoff does not ring as a decision that would be made from one who supports the 99% cause, as Mr. Carter purports that he does.

As if making a mockery of the international Occupy Movement (which happens to be one of the most important global movements of the century)and not offering to share proceeds with the movement, Papa Carter, do you really support the 99% movement? It ain’t looking like it at the moment. We don’t believe you need more people. Women lie, men lie, but these numbers don’t lie. Twenty-eight staff members were laid off last week, with more intended to follow.
