Anyone’s who has ever been to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese knows that it can get really annoying, really quickly. Anytime loud, screaming, sugared-up kids are running around, adults can become a bit on edge, but over the weekend things got seriously out of control and ended with a grandmother being beaten up.
At a birthday party on Sunday in Dearborn, Michigan, an unnamed grandmother was assaulted by a Chuck E. Cheese patron after she claims she asked him to stop swearing.
According to a local news affiliate, after the grandmother asked a man nearby to stop cursing while her grandchildren were nearby, he punched her repeatedly.
One of her family members recounts: “She said, ‘please don’t use that language with children.’ They told her to ‘shut the f— up and turn around.’ That’s when a man leapt at the table and started swinging. He punched her in the face and dragged her by her hair.”
The woman, who refused to give her name to reporters, said after she was assaulted, she ended up cowering under the table. She was later taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries, and police are investigating the case.
