What do you want from life?

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” – Paulo Coelho

Over the weekend, I had a breakthrough. Although I’ve always believed in putting your intentions out there by either talking about them or creating a vision board, I never really paid attention to the rest of my language.

Saturday, I had dinner with friends and after getting into a conversation about our intentions for this year, I realized I didn’t have a definite one. I talked about being happier and writing more, but I was talking around my true intentions because I was scared. Despite all that I’ve accomplished in the past few years, I was still afraid to fail. But why? As my friend asked…what’s the worst that could happen?

I thought about it, and for me, “the worst,” was something that others had been through and bounced back from, so I decided to let go of the fear. I thought back over my life and realized that whenever I wanted something–to move to New York, to quit my job, to go to London– it’s managed to happen….so why am I stressing now?

Clutchettes, speaking things as though they already were is essential. Words matter. Our attitudes matter. If you’re wonder why something may not be going right, check your language…you just might be shortchanging yourself from your blessing.

Happy Monday!

I’ve always been told say it, claim it, and it’ll happen!
