Just when we thought Bobby Brown had overcome his substance abuse demons, he gets arrested by LAPD.
Monday, the 43-year-old singer was stopped by police for talking on his cell phone. After police pulled him over, the officer suspected Brown was intoxicated and administered a field sobriety test, which he failed. He was then taken into custody, booked, and charged with driving under the influence.
After spending “several hours” in custody, Brown was bailed out of jail. He is expected to perform with New Edition on Thursday in St. Louis and it’s unclear if his latest arrest will have any affect on his performance.
This isn’t the first time Brown was popped for driving under the influence. In 1996 he was arrested in Georgia for DUI, plead guilty, and served eight days in jail.
