“People are always blaming circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get ahead in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them.” – George Bernard Shaw

Sometimes when we experience difficulty we look for others to blame. It’s the economy, our boss won’t let us shine, our family sucks, whatever. While those things very well may be true, it’s up to us to rise above it.

While you can’t control things outside of yourself, you can control how you respond to life’s challenges and how you allow them to make you feel. Are you going to be a victim of your circumstances, or will you grab hold of your life and make it happen? You decide.

Happy Thursday!

  • I know there was a reason I came to this site this morning. I was just having these thoughts about what others were doing that prevented me from doing what I need to do. This was a wake up call, thank you!

So funny i was emailing with coworker earlier and she was telling me how things just keep getting worse for her. You cant control the weather, other people and pretty much alot of things, but most importantly you can control yourself!!!
