Two black kids chase down and dowse a white kid with gasoline and set him on fire. Saying “that is what you get, Whitie” Ok, there is real hate and racism.

Certainly not an over paid black woman singing about chicken.
Get real,. You have no credibility.

Now go home and make sure you kids are doing their homework. They are the true victims of low expectations.

This commercial hardly warrants any discussion. I’m a Black man who grew up in the 60′s when we actually protested racism not some silly harmless commercial.

I’m white and from the south, fried-broiled-battered-chicken is 70% of my diet followed by 20% fish and about 10% beef, if you are a meat eater then how can you not like fried chicken, so who cares that a paticular race or whatever likes certain or favors things, stereotypes do not always lead to bad thing, i can say that most of the black smokers i have met smoke and prefer menthol, big deal i can also say in my own experience that when it comes to soda’s blacks seem to like the fruit type drinks like welches grape( love it drink it my self) but it seems that when you make that hateful or somehow hold it against a group is when it becomes more then just a stereotype, and when someone says anything about fried chicken or watermelon like one poster said i dont think of blacks i think of the great cooking and fruit from my grandparents farm… and like that old 90′s saying goes maybe its a black thing i just dont understand !!!!!!!!!!!!!

what a stretch though. They have a host of celebrities on their new ads and they are all exploiting what they are known for.. leno for comedy. beckahm for general sexiness, mary for her voice (what else is she supposed to sing about? the ambiance of a fast food joint? of COURSE she would sing about the food)

Oh My Eyes – This article is how I came to know about this commercial and apparently many others thought there was something wrong with the commercial, because many other blogs have written about AND the video was pulled, so… I don’t think Thembi is projecting anything, but rather just writing an article.

It’s only weird cause shes black singing about chicken. Thanks to stereotypes being anywhere near fried chicken now haunts us all. However I did want a chicken wrap after watching this tragedy.
