“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” – Dalai Lama

While we want to be happy, many of us think that happiness just happens. It doesn’t. Like everything else in life, you have to work at it. You have find things you enjoy and cultivate them, make time for them, and indulge in them.

Recently, I learned–by accident–that I enjoy hiking. And since then, I’ve been making time to get outdoors and hike. Simple, right? If you love dancing, turn on your music and dance. If you love to laugh, have a movie night filled with comedies. If you love traveling, don’t complain about taking your dream trip, find a nearby spot for a day trip. Whatever it is, find time and do it.

Happy Friday!

I cannot remember the last time I did something that made me truly happy. Now, I am not an unhappy person in general, and I have many happy moments, but there is a difference between happy moments and doing things that make you happy in a blissful way. I think that is one of my small goals for the next couple of weeks.
