I really do try to listen to my mother is cases where i know it will make a big impact on my life, but sometimes you just have to make your own decision. Life is about choices and you have to live with the choices you make. If you’ve made a mistake , learn from it and move on. I’m sure Usher wont rush into marriage again. I do feel sorry for him though. He is not the first person to marry the wrong person nor will he be the last. I just hope that they don’t take his kids away . Its sad.

Usher took advice from his penis instead of his mother! I don’t feel sorry for him and that’s that. He married a women who had several children by other men and his stupid butt fell in love. Now that he having to pay big bucks for child support, he supporting the white culture by recording music that pleases them. Check him out on the MTV Awards.

On the other hand, I’ve never quite understood acrimonious child custody battles; at least where abuse, child endangerment or unfortunate one night stand situations don’t factor. I find it crazy that two people once committed to each enough to bring children into this world can’t stand each other long enough to do what’s best for said children. It’s madness really! I mean to a point where courts and mediators have to intervene?! I understand most marriages don’t end on a good note, but it seems to me the adults involved should be mature enough to put their differences aside for the sake of the well being of their children. Let the parents who’d like an active role in their children’s life have that opportunity.

Usher’s day has come! I knew one day the old lady was going to go after his throat! Let me tell you about home boy Usher. Usher is from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Usher wouldn’t be who he is today if it wasn’t for a man name Darryl Wheeler. Darryl Wheller quit his fulltime job, spent a lot of quality time with Usher by manging him and his boys, proformance all over the city of Chattanooga. To this day, Usher has nothing to do with Mr. Wheller and his family. When Usher moved to Atlanta, he forgot about Mr. Wheller and everyone else he was involved with in his home town. Usher hate to actknowledge he is from Chattanooga, Tn.

The problem is we never know the dynamics in relationships. People will demonize cheating (which they should!) but turn a blind eye to women losing feelings for a man and staying in a relationship with him. It has happened to me, she had emotionally “stepped out” but physically stayed in the relationship. Some people fail to see the emotional abuse women can put men through as well.

that is what YOU would do. what makes you think those little boys would feel the same. do those kids know that their dad cheated?when they find out do you think they wpuld care about what their dad did years ago? how does this affect their life right now?usher may be a horrible partner but you cant judge his parenting skills off this.

If my mom told me something wasn’t right about someone I would definitely listen.
When you are younger you sometimes have this thing as a young woman about being your own woman and kinda seperating.
But once you grow up and have gotten over yourself, you realize that you do have loving, wise in their respective right parents who only want the best for you. You then want to hear their opinions on things because you value them and you trust they would never steer you wrong and as Kamala said that is indeed a blessing.

Yes, I absolutely listen to my mom’s advice regarding the women I date. To date my mom has not been wrong. My mom can be “rough” in her tone but it’s always the truth and I love her for that. Now, not every parent is suitable to give advice because some parents are foolish. But, if you have a wise parent who also knows when to give their unsolicited opinion, that’s a blessing.

I dont think these mothers consciously say, ”I dont want my son to treat his wife better than me.” I think many single mothers place their sons in the ‘man of the house role.’ Especially financially. And once a wife comes in the picture the finances will be dried up. Many single mothers not only think their sons owe them for raising them without a dad, but their daughters, as well. Actually, you may have a point because some mothers do get jealous

sooooo, isn’t this a custody battle? what does him cheating on her have to do with anyyything? i dont think it has anything to do with how good of a father he is. i honestly feel so sorry for some men if they have to deal with women like you and tameka. women can be so effin selfish and self centred, its a shame the courts will probably side with her since she is the mother. maybe its because i have an amazing dad who plays a huge part in my life so i know the importance in having a father in childrens lives.

Yes, but not when it comes to who I should date or marry or anything major like that but if the person have serious character to flaws that I can’t see at the time or overlook and she seems to know something is off about the guy for whatever reason then I heed her advice. Usher cheated on Chilli and made an album about it, where he made a lot of money off of it. I do not feel sorry for Usher. I am sure he caused this woman lots of pain and heartache more than what she is doing to him now. He will be ok and that’s that. Never liked Usher because he just seems like a womanizer.

Absolutely I listen to my mother’s opinion when it comes to dating. I think I will repeat it again, “Absolutely I listen to my mother’s opinion when it comes to dating.” I will not say all mothers are embedded into their child’s spirit enough to have an opinion. I will say for most; they are able to discern if your choice of a mate is a good one or bad one. Parents understand they CAN’T tell you what to do, but they have an idea of what MAY be best.

If a mother has nurtured you from day one, she really knows who you are as a person. If the opposite appears, that red flag goes up immediately. A child’s dislikes, choices, and desires may change over the years. However, the essence (core) of who you are stays the same. In a nutshell, any woman’s intuition is pretty much similiar to a mother’s intuition. That woman or colleague that your man or husband claims is just a friend; but really isn’t, as a woman your intuition will kick. That is the same as a mother’s intuition for her children perhaps stronger.

I’m hoping the situation will mature to a comfortable one for the babies. In order to raise their children, Usher and Tameka hopefully will be able to coexist peacefully. It is too late to listen to mama now, but they still have to raise those babies.

After I found out that the guy I lost my v-card to was a total scumbag, my mother wanted me to have nothing to do with him. But I still let him keep in touch every now and then through phone calls and what not. A couple years later, we got back in touch and started a physical relationship again. He wanted more, but I just wanted the physical part of things. He thought I was cold-blooded, but that’s what happens when emotions get completely shut down and all that’s left is lust. Anyway, my mother doesn’t know that we “rekindled”, but as of late, there’s really no need to tell her. I stopped dealing with him over a month ago. He kept pushing for a relationship, and I kept saying no — one, because I no longer felt the same; and two, I knew my mother despised him nad would never approve. So… no more him. lol
