“Tamed a little more”? Um, her hair is off of her face and shaped. It really bothers me when people say that about natural hair. If her hair were straight and spiked, no one would say anything.
I am with Yawn on this: why do we so easily revert to the Natural = wild and therefore in need of “civilizing” idea? I love that Solange has been so bold with her natural style and almost single-handedly put natural-haired sisters on the high fashion map. Natural is very sexy, as you can see in this pic. Being natural also gives us the opportunity to be a little more creative and not wear “out of the can” styles. Tame = BORING, same-ole style that every other person in an average suburban mini-mall has. Whack.
