If this is true, GREAT!! There is nothing wrong with being old fashioned. Anyhow, it makes the wedding night even more exciting and worthwhile. They will be together forever (hopefully), so this should not be an issue. GOD is first in their lives and that is all they need to help them through temptation and whatever else!! Congrats!

+1. It’s rare to hear someone stand up for what they believe in and be that example of what is right for those proclaiming Christianity. So what if some would classify her as a “born-again virgin.” Most of us who came to Christ at a “later age” can tell you some “stories” that could peel paint off the walls … self included.

The Word places mandates on us as Christians and when we come into the full knowledge of that … we need to make the adjustment and move forward. Being celibate is not easy (TRUST …) but it can done.

Wait. If you are Christian you should be waiting too. Too many of us out here saying we follow Christ but are clearly against his word in our actions. Sex is all in the media and celibacy is not. I’m glad she put it out there so people like myself can proudly shout “me too”! I choose Christ over sex anyday. And since I’m an unmarried Christian, I’m waiting for my wedding night. In a world obssess with sex and where we see so many baby mamas, single mothers and people having sex left right, eventhough she is not a role model to me, people should understand that not everyone is interested in doing anything and I mean all the things that you can possibly imagine unless it is with their husband.

Gotta give it to the real virgins out there that are waiting and don’t let peer pressure nor so called friends and most of all the media pressured them to do it before they are married. If some don’t believe in marriage and want to give their goodies to anyone that is not willing to commit to them, it’s their busines. On the other hand, others rather have self control and wait until God blesses them with the ONE.

If someone is promiscuous they get talked about and apparently if they choose celibacy they get lambasted as well…smh. Props to Good for what she is doing. Not everyone is having sex and life is just as grand without it. It’s cool to see someone in the public eye you can identify with without it being sex driven. People who have sex often make people who choose not to have sex feel like we are abnormal or aliens like we exists in some weird land far far away. I was on Jezebel reading an article about Lolo Jones and her Christian values. People were complaining about Lolo publicly proclaiming that she’s saving herself for marriage as “a gift” for her husband and yet gets annoyed when the media asks her about it

As a virgin and a Christian, I obviously don’t have a problem with either Meagan or Lolo being proud or publicly acknowledging themselves as virgins. I wish more of us would do it. Young girls need to see that you can be beautiful, popular and wanted and still remain celibate.

However, I do see a contradictory with Meagan and the roles she picks as a young Christian woman (not so much Think Like A Man though) but then again, doesn’t seem like she wants to be considered a role model

I think that’s great. It has to be hard. I tried to be celibate, but it didn’t last.

My husband and I didn’t wait until marriage for sex at all. We probably could have, but I don’t really regret it because he’s the one I married, and the sex is great. I feel bad for someone I know. She and her husband waited for marriage before having sex, but their sex life has always been bad and sex is spare. Doesn’t seem fair.
