i hate how this question is going to come off but there isnt a round about or rosy way to ask. so i just have to say it…. after all these years Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis’ estate doesnt havent 50000 to help him out?? now i understand if he just wants to do it on his own…completely understandable but if not then… im just curious

Wow, he is a nice-looking man! *ahem* Anyway… I look up to Ossie and Ruby Dee and their marriage. They were/are strong, beautiful Black people and a great part of our entertainment history.

I personally would love to see the documentary come to fruition. I really wish I could help monetarily, but I’m kind of struggling to keep my OWN bills paid these days! Maybe when I get my check, I’ll send in $20-$30. It’s chump change, but it’s better than nothing.

Oh how wonderful. I love these two.

Fun fact: Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee stepped up to help Betty Shabaz after Malcolm X was assassinated. They helped with money and IIRC nannies and babysitting.

Their grandson isn’t playing with that name. He wants you to know he’s a Muslim.
