Watch: Venus vs. Mars, Ep. 3 – A UK Web Series About the Ups and Downs of Dating
If you don’t know by now, we love web series! As network shows featuring interesting black characters continue to be a rarity, the web has become the destination for black writers, actors, and producers to showcase their work and give audiences what they want.
Over the past year I’ve highlighted several up-and-coming web shows. From the hilarious hit The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl to one of my new favorites, the Unwritten Rules, I’m happy so many are taking to the web to produce quality shows.
A few months ago, I shared a new web series from the UK called Venus vs. Mars, and so far it’s been keeping my attention. The show follows Venus as she tries to find “the one,” but unfortunately she has a few problems along the way. So far we’ve watched as Venus has dealt with unresolved issues with her ex, many former flames have called her selfish, she’s picked the wrong guys, and is tired of being alone. But will her luck change?

Venus’ character really doesn’t get any more likeable.
i know many dont watch or comment but ive been trying to watch the show but i was really confused.. can someone explain why she got sooo drunk on the date?? a date that was going well at that
I HATED how that dude treated the chick. Yes, she was drunk, BUT did he have to be such an asshole about it. How about be a gentleman, take her home and never call her again. I FRIGGIN hate him. To add to my worries, she had a savior in the form of a white man! Urrrrrrrgh. What the fuggers. I was really emotional about this particular episode.
I LOVE this series. It’s dope, but they need to stop portraying black men in that ugly light. I hope they read my sentiments.

i dont understand why she got so piss drunk? and yea i woulda kicked her out my car if she was about to throw up. she had no decorum. i thought this guy was a win, but she acted like a plum fool. and here’s the kicker: SHE MADE IT ALL HIS FAULT! like i’m sorry you rude-ass mother-plunker, you got drunk and nasty and damn near threw up in his car.
Venus should have had some sort of remorseful reflection at the end instead of being so uppity. but hey, maybe teats the character they wanna portray: all haughty, no humility.
her character needs a slap and a re-vamp, and so does that weave. flipping her hair everywhere but it’s as stiff as the acting o_O
i was just so confused at this episode.
