Web Series to Watch: The Couple – ‘The Predator’ – Has This Ever Happened to You?
One of my favorite web series, The Couple, is back with yet another mini-episode that gives viewers a realistic (and funny!) look at what really goes on in relationships.
Despite the media’s insistence that black folks don’t fall in love with one another and live normal lives (because that just wouldn’t fit into their little neat narrative), Numa Perrier and Dennis Dortch, two of the creators of The Couple show us differently. Perrier and Dortch are not only creative partners (along with writer/producer Jeanine Daniels), but they are life-partners as well, drawing on their experiences living and loving each other to create hilarious moments for us to watch.

They are so cute together, but that is not a realistic interpretation of “The Predator.” In real life, that video would have ended at like….. :43. I would have rolled over, and like my sleepy fist fly. I was sleep, you can’t take me to court for that!
