Wise Words: Listen Up
The other day I was watching a video by motivational speaker Zig Ziglar when I noticed a video featuring Will Smith on the sidebar. I decided to check it out, and as Will spoke I found myself having multiple “aha” moments, nodding my head, and copying down inspiring quotes that stood out so that I can share them with my crew later on.
At the heart of the video, Will speaks about controlling our thoughts and actions and molding them to suit our goals; staying laser focused on what we’d like to accomplish; and having an irrational amount of confidence that we’ll make it. As someone who is on the path to reaching her dreams, I could totally get with that.
Because I love you Clutchettes, I’m sharing the video. Watch it, meditate on it, and let’s continue to make 2012 our best year yet!

I listen to this video at work at least once a week to keep me focused. What keeps me on track is the story of Will and his brother building a brick wall…one brick at a time. That section was truly my “a-ha” moment to keep going forward, even when I don’t see the end result.
That is one of my all time favorite videos! I love listening it to it in the background as I work.
Will is so insightful. 2012 has definitley become a year of ‘I wills’ instead of ‘I wants’ and videos like this definitely keep my focused.
