“Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better.” -Émile Coué

How many of you use affirmations? You know, something you tell  yourself over and over until you start to really believe it? Although most of people unknowingly use negative affirmations (‘I’m fat’ or ‘I should have know better’ or ‘I’ll always be alone!’), positive affirmations such as this one can be helpful in strengthening confidence and giving you the courage to pursue your dreams.

This one especially speaks to me because it captures our ability to change our situation no matter what is going on. Short of suddenly passing away, every day presents us with the opportunity to do better than we did before. Too often we get caught up in how we messed up, what’s not going right, and how we hate not being where we’d like. But if you remind yourself that every single day you have the chance to get it right and get better soon you’ll start to believe it.

You have the power to change your situation, Clutchettes.

Happy Wednesday!

I love reading self-help motivational and spiritual books/articles but have to admit I don’t use (positive) affirmations as much as I should! THanks for the inspiration! :-)

I keep this quote at my work desk. I frequently say this when I feel negative or like I am losing control of a situation.
