Must See: Photographer Uses Black Barbie & Ken to Recreate Traditional Nigerian Wedding

Last night a friend posted this cute little link to her timeline and I thought it was so amazingly dope I wanted to share it.

One night, London based photographer Obi Nwokedi was bored and looking for a little inspiration. After seeing a French photographer’s Barbie and Ken wedding shoot, Nwokedi set out to recreate it, only this time, he reimaged the spread as a traditional Nigerian wedding. What he created was a series of whimsical images that felt less like staged dolls and more like an actual wedding full of fun, love, and a whole lot of partying.
