New Ad Campaign Takes Aim At White Privilege, Says It’s ‘Unfair’ to Be White
Privilege. We talk about it quite a bit here on Clutch. White privilege, male privilege, middle-class black privilege, cisgender privilege—these are phrases we know well. While some argue over the validity of such privileges, a new campaign supported by the University of Minnesota-Duluth is taking aim at one in particular: White privilege.
According to the Un-Fair Campaign, racism won’t magically go away if we ignore it and white folks play a huge role in eradicating racial discrimination. The campaign aims to educate white people about the inherent privilege they possess and get them to recognize that ethnic minorities aren’t afford the same rights because they aren’t cloaked in white skin.
While the goal of the Un-Fair Campaign seems admirable, its critics have called it racist. But the University is unmoved. The Duluth chancellor issued a statement saying he supports the campaign because it will help “create an inclusive campus climate for all.”
Another supporter of the campaign is author and anti-racism activist Tim Wise who often challenges whites to examine their racial biases. Two years ago, Wise became a sensation when his “Letter to the White Right” went viral. In the letter Wise had a warning for paranoid white folks:
“For all y’all rich folks, enjoy that champagne. And for y’all a bit lower on the economic scale, enjoy your Pabst Blue Ribbon. Whatever the case and whatever your economic station know this – You need to drink up, and quickly and heavily because your time is limited.”
The Un-Fair Campaign has released a series of PSAs and videos of white folks discussing their privilege and when they realized something wasn’t quite right.

The term white privilege is a dangerous misnomer that sanitizes the horrors involved in procurring the wealth and abundance whites enjoy as white privilege.
White privilege has become a matter of fact almost neutral term that we blithely use without considering its full implications.
Like it just happens that white people always have more and the best of everything because that’s just the way things turn out for them.
They just can’t help their good fortune.

The source of whites better experience is not privilege, it is the stolen wealth plundered by whites in the wars for resources they’ve been waging against non-whites since Christopher Columbus.
Right thinking blacks should do everything in our power destroy whites stranglehold on our people our lands and our resources and send them back to the hell they come from. Let em institute white privilege among themselves and return to ripping each other apart as they have always done.

Yo. I cannot for the life of me concentrate on what these people are doing or saying. They got TEETH struggles! All I’m doing is looking at their teeth, counting the spaces, trying to recommend whitening products, wondering this that and the other.
I’m White. Obviously White Privileged exists, and is statistically demonstrable. I would give up almost everything I have if it would make the World fair, and I make efforts. But life isn’t fair. Minority populations have been abused throughout history; not just by whites. It’s a human trait for some to abuse and dominate. Social abuse, slavery, and hate have been with us since the beginning of society. Slaves were a part of most ancient civilizations up to and including modern times. Skin color matters if yours isn’t the same as those in power. Where there are people, there will be problems. No society/race can survive at the top forever. Nature does not care whether we live, or die, and it is unclear that focusing on various problems at a given time in any society will actually fix the problems. There’s no guarantee. Whites might think they have “the power,” but they will lose it, people always do. Whites are just another human blip trying to take it all for themselves. I have to admit, we are pretty good at destruction, better than we are at life. There are plenty of Black, Asian, Indian, etc, destroyers too.
I’m tired of white people saying that every society had slaves. In Africa the so called slaves were the tribal warriors who lost in battle. When they battled it was not physical. I was more like a tribal dance war. The the winning tribe was allowed to keep some warriors BUT, they were integrated in the tribal community. They weren’t treated like shit how the EUROPEANS WHITE PEOPLE TREATED SLAVES. I’m really tired of these devils spewing false facts about OH EVERYONE HAD SLAVES. Because, slavery for majority of non white cultures before white people showed up wasn’t lynching and burning bodies.
