How can you stop that? Just get off twitter or put your account to private. Unfortunately there are many bullies out here and they do hide like cowards. Twitter isn’t a necessity to life and we can live without it.

Why do people always say that these online comments are anonymous as if the authorities can’t track someone down making serious threats? They track down people on pedo sites all the time. For those of you who don’t realize it, if you have a modem in your house that is like a link to your address. Authorities can take the ip address from twitter, find out the internet provider and subpoena them for the little jerks info. Of course they are not supposed to give out this info unless it is for a qualified reason, but bottomline people who post threatening comments all day everyday on twitter are not anonymous.

My brother threatened a girl on MySpace back when I was in high school and got brought up on charges(had to do little time too)…Internet threats are taken just as serious as verbal/written ones!
